Canberra Fun

Hey there. It's Canberra long weekend in March. I'm a huge fan of coffee and I'm grabbing a couple of shots at my local cafe, Lava Espresso. Great coffee from these guys located on Brierley Street in Weston.

It's Wednesday and time for some coffee at my fave stop for caffeine at Lava. Taking the Suzuki for a spin to the Cotter then up Brindabella Road and then Mountain Creek Road straight after my espresso and flat white while we still have some warm weather. A great spot to ride and nice and quiet mid week. Perfect temperature in the high 20's for great grip on the Dunlop Qualifiers I'm currently running.

See you next time!

It's Friday before the first F1 of the year in Melbourne. Wish I was there but alas no... Instead I'll  watch from my couch in Waramanga before work. (I did go to the first round of World Superbikes WSBK at Phillip Island February 22nd so life is not all bad) So here are a couple of links to help keep me updated when not at home on Saturday to watch qualifying. I will however be watching it Sunday from start to finish with the V8 Supercars on tele with beer in hand.

Hey it's not Canberra but as I have mentioned my love of motorbikes and my little adventure to Victoria in February for the WSBK here is a short vid of some time at Phillip Island... It's for the Social Media subject I'm doing that requires a video inserted. Enjoy!

I was out in late March on a beautiful weekend of weather. A decision was made to grab lunch and a beer. So another fun spot in Canberra to go is The Lighthouse. Located on Emu Bank in Belconnen. Great food and a quality bar with water views. It often has some live music or dj's and shows lots of live sports on a number of large screens that can be on various channels. So I guess you could call it a sports bar. It also has pool tables and a small bottle shop.

I've been going there for years. The Lighthouse pizza, steaks, burgers and risotto balls are all yum. Worth a look!
